Mrs Helen Ellam5Beautiful and peaceful place, there was not one thing we could ask for other than an oven glove :) its truly a little gem of a place and I just did not want to leave. the views out to sea, the farm view from the other side, wildlife all around and not a sound other than the odd dog walking on the beach, and the rolling of the waves. Don't change a thing as its just perfect the way it is! loved the Croquet game we played on the lawns were well enjoyed too :) Thankyou so much we loved your little place. Helen & Family. Absolutely loved Sea Edge, felt at home as soon as we opened the door .. had everything we needed… the views are outstanding… even with the bad weather we spent hours in the sun lounge watching the lightning and rain out at sea ….. easy transaction and instructions. Thankyou for the welcome pack , it all went down a treat …. We shall certainly be back again as it was a pleasure to spend time there. Mrs Tina Hillyard 1st - 8th July 2024
Such a lovely cozy place by the sea just what is needed to escape from the rat race. So pleased to find this gem thank you Tim for our attention to detail very much appreciated. Mrs Lynn McCarlie
A perfect peaceful break. Couldn't be any closer to the beach and the sound of the waves. House was clean and has everything you need. Make sure you do your shopping before your stay as no shops in Happisburgh. We saw seals everday, so many birds and were lucky to enjoy the summer solstice sunrise over the sea. Very dog friendly, miles of sandy beach. Would definitely go back. We miss it already. Mrs Angela Thick June 2024

Stayed a few weeks ago , had to return … a holiday that ticks every box for us … peaceful , beach at hand and the accommodation has everything you need , comfortable and clean.
Such a lovely experience. The property was everything that we had wanted. Two of us and our dog had a very peaceful stay, the beach seems to go on forever, but with few people using it! We saw horses, seals and the northern lights.
Response from the owner ..... Thank you for leaving your review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your weekend. Tim

We had a wonderful stay at Sea Edge. The location was beautiful and perfectly private. The view was stunning and the sound of the sea wonderfully calming. The house itself is quirky, spacious and really comfortable. We felt at home and Marie left us lots of little treats to welcome us settle in. There is lots of space outside for the children to play and ample parking. The viewing room outside was our favourite little spot to eat dinner and watch the sea. We spotted a number of seals too. The steps from the back garden lead directly down to the beach, which was never busy. We had a great time and hope to return again soon. Lorna Aug 23
Location is superb. Morning coffee to the slap of waves, ships floating on the false horizon above the garden gate and a rabbit having a stretch. Walk to Happisburgh along the cliff top. Van Gogh painted the fields and the sky. The access road from the lifeboat station is agricultural. But once you have parked up, leave the car and walk the beach. North or south; south or north. Shops are rare in the locality so don't arrive empty handed. The local shop in Happisburgh has a lovely black Labrador but limited opening hours. There is also a shop in the caravan park. The interior of the property has character and is practical for walkers. There is an idiosyncratic selection of books. We ran Netflix on the TV. Beds fine. A vague rumour of wind and waves. Sweet dreams. July 23

Negative points mentioned by previous guests.
The track leading to Sea Edge from the lifeboat station is unsurfaced.
In the winter the sea can get very rough,
Happisburgh has two 'local' food shops, By car 1.5 & 4 Km away, Walking along the cliffs 2Km. So it is a good idea to arrive with the basic things you may need. Tescos supermarket is in Stalham, and Waitrose and Sainsbury are at North Walsham.
The beach access is through the garden gate and down several concrete steps. These lead to the top of the sea defense wall. Here you either have to use a ladder to get onto the beach ( chained in position during June-Sept)
or walk along the wall to the steps which are 35m away (see photo).
Possibly in autumn/spring and winter, some high tides reach up to the sea wall and then for a few hours, there is no beach.
The sea defense wall was built after the storm surge of 1953. If it had not been built Sea Edge would probably be in the sea. We have storms most winters.
